** Spyware Discontinued **
M86 no longer support the Counterspy or Pest Patrol anti spyware scanners in either MailMarshal or WebMarshal. We only found out when orders we placed were cancelled. Apparently this took effect in early February but no one informed us so we kept placing orders and making quotes none the wiser. If you are involved in that we apologize.
This applies to both maintenance of existing owners and, or course, new sales. If you own, have renewed or have a quote to renew from us (through M86) this cannot be honored. M86 say they are looking at “measures” to help customer migrate but we do not know what these might be. We are trying to clarify what this means for customers whose maintenance is still valid and whether signature updates will continue for the full length of maintenance period going forward.
What we do have is advice customers using either product should migrate IMMEDIATELY. Of course, there is no specialist spyware scanner to migrate too. What is currently suggested is a move to a virus scanner that has some spyware signatures, like Norman.
