WiFi on the plane

wifi

Singapore Air have announced they will introduce Internet WiFi on their flights by the middle of next year.

I don’t ever travel by Singapore Air, but it’s nice to think someone is on the ball out there and from what I hear these guys are industry leaders. So if we’re lucky this could be a sign of things to come. The system they’ve chosen, OnAir, is jointly owned by Airbus and SITA (the booking guys I think), so there seems every possibility other airlines could adopt the same system.

Even though it’s supplied by Airbus it will be rolled out to both Boeing and Airbus planes.
