Actually Interesting Webinar

m86

November last year, M86 Security bought the commercial interests of a small Israeli company, Finjan. Finjan are very clever guys and WAY ahead of the curve. They had a fantastic labs section that uncovered really cool web based attacks and deconstructed them so you could see how they did it. Now that teams part of M86 Security and they have a webinar:

In July 2010, M86 Security Labs uncovered a cyber-attack against the UK customers of a well-known global financial institution. This attack was coordinated with the Eleonore and Phoenix exploit kits which used the latest version of the nefarious Zeus Trojan in a man-in-the-browser attack.

Analyzing log information from compromised command and control servers dating back to the 5th of July saw more than 3,000 compromised accounts and US$889,000 in total being transferred to money mules. This session will deconstruct the attack, explain how it worked and what we can learn from it.

It’s fun stuff if you’re a tech head.
