Dammed if you do and Dammed if you don't a conflict of Interest

Damned

We have written a couple of posts about the QLD Floods and the Wivenhoe Dam. Have a look at this article in the Australian today Titled Engineer Warned of danger from the dam

You might also like to take a look at the Operators of the Wivenhoe Dam’s annual report here

Interesting note in the report - “Over the past 12 months, on behalf of the Grid, Seqwater delivered more than 250,000 megalitres or in excess of 90 per cent of the region’s drinking water”

Perhaps there is a conflict of interest between maintaining a buffer for the exceptional rain event and providing water for everyday use.

Water’s a valuable commodity and when there’s money involved perhaps some interests took higher priority over others.
