An Educated but Idiotic Elite

In the American Declaration of Independence we find the following expression, ‘We hold these things to be self evident…’. Meaning self evident to every man, woman and child. Meaning truth dressed up as anyman can see it to be, plain as the emperor who had no clothes. No government sanction, no media approval, no celebrity endorsement and no public relations spin.
Sadly, we live in the age of the educated expert. An elite whose sneetch like badges entitle them to proclaim truth as not self evident. Only this new priesthood may anoint understanding and proclaim what is to be true. They mock all who claim the emperor has no clothes simply because they don’t have a sneetch badge. The baby is lost with the bath water and common sense becomes uncommon because it doesn’t wear the badge.
If the common man dares any argument or observation he is challenged - prove it they cry. If the educated elite make a statement it is accepted regardless of the stupidity of it, because he represents, it is said, the rational mind. We all who
live in the western world under this priesthood are subject to waves of stupidity from these educated imbeciles.
Business men hang on every word of the US Federal Reserve as prophetic, when these are the clairvoyants who completely missed the largest economic meltdown since the great depression. The same sears who mocked those who said things were not on track and laughed at the few who said the debts were unsustainable. Their defence was a pathetic ‘nobody saw it coming’, really meaning they didn’t see it coming. On their expert advice the lowly tax payers have assumed the debts of an entire finance system.
A government department called the IPCC calls us to save the planet from warming they cannot prove we caused, by dressing it up in pseudo scientific empty, windy words. Behind a magic cloak they call science they hide their statements of faith, proclaiming the probability of truth to be this or to be that. As if science were a casino. They lambast and refuse to publish opposing theory saying it doesn’t meet their consensus. As if science were a democratic vote. On their expert opinion tax payers are now billed for the farts that cows make.
These are two examples in a worrying trend to believe whatever we are told.
I stand with the American founding fathers in proclaiming truth is self evident. The chances that taxing cow farts will save anybody from anything are as likely as it sounds. Zero. Having driven the global financial system into an iceberg the size of the moon without seeing it coming, these blind guides will not lead the sighted to freedom.
We, the tax payers, who have become financiers of idiotic fantasy, must no longer give heed to these badges they wave. We must be deaf to their ever more strident cries. We must soberly judge from their actions, their results and the fruit of their policies. We must check the science ourselves and no longer believe the cover of the book.
If we do not they will tax us to death, oblivious to their own parasitic nature, sure of their calling to force their ideas on the rest of us and comforted by the thought that any suffering that results is for our own good.
