Super 14 Picks
Even though they lost and I am a Crusaders fan, I did see a lot to like about the way the Waratahs played last week, the Crusaders did it the hard way especially with Carter kicking poorly… again!
There are some good match ups again this week with a number of teams needing to win to stay in contention.
Stormers vs Chiefs might be a close one. The Chiefs have not played to their potential this year and I think the Stormers will have their measure.
Brumbies vs Hurricanes is a hard one to pick. Both teams have underperformed in my view, but the Brumbies have managed to win ugly and this trend should continue.
Blues vs Western Force is an interesting one. Blues should have enough class to take this one.
Crusaders vs Cheetahs. I do hope that Carter gets his kicking boots back this week, but it won’t matter either way though.
I like the Reds this year and the style of rugby they are playing. Sadly, having said that I think the Bulls are a game too far.
Lions vs Sharks might be a torrid affair. I can’t see the Lions getting up over the Sharks even though they are at home.
The Waratahs and the Highlanders have a bye this week.
