Securing against mind power
When the Jordanian newspaper Al Ghad ran their April fools day joke, saying 3 meter aliens had been seen landing close to the town of Jafr, we all got a good laugh at the expense of Jafr, who had been close to evacuating. Apparently the local mayor had seriously sent security personnel to search for them.
Those crazy Jordanians!
But then I stumbled upon this story in the ABC News yesterday about a Qantas QF31 flight…
“The man was restrained by flight stewards after he made threats to disrupt QF31 using mind power.
According to ABC reporter Nick Luchinelli, who was onboard the flight, it seemed the middle-aged man was either under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both.
He was suffering some sort of delusion and people sitting close to him said he was threatening to use the power of his mind to bring the flight down.
The stewards had to take the threat seriously so he had his arms and legs cuffed and remained that way for the rest of the flight.”
I’m really hoping they restrained him because he was drunk, high or both. If they really thought they had to take the ‘threat’ of bringing down the plane with his mind seriously - then who would the fools be?
