Army aborts raid after soldier posts it on Facebook

This is one of those funny but poignant stories.

When the government assure you they have your security completely in hand remember this -

… they can’t even be certain an army raid isn’t on facebook

Not that this is unexpected:-

… they struggle to keep drugs rings from operating through international airports

… they can’t keep drugs out of prisons (this one is a PDF download)

Even leaving aside gross incompetence, which is around aplenty, people make mistakes.

All security systems should be designed with this in mind.
